Polygon Labs and Solana announced on October 29, 2026, that Polygon’s Open Money Stack payments infrastructure will be available on Solana. The integration does not merge the two blockchains. Businesses will continue to send stablecoins on Solana while using Polygon’s banking connections and payment services for other functions.

Open Money Stack allows businesses building on Solana to accept bank transfers, card payments, and cash through supported providers. It also enables the creation of customer wallets, cross-chain asset transfers, and bank account payouts, all through a single integration. According to Polygon’s documentation, the stack is designed as enterprise payments infrastructure for stablecoins and tokenized deposits, built to integrate with existing systems rather than replace them.

Kira, a cross-border payments company, is one of the first adopters. It uses Solana for stablecoin transfers and Polygon’s banking connections to let customers pay overseas suppliers in dollars.

Solana has processed over $5.7 trillion in stablecoin transfers this year, according to Jamal Raees, general manager of payments at the Solana Foundation. Polygon has recorded more than $3 trillion in total transfers since its launch, a figure that includes wallet-to-wallet transfers as well as payments.

“Businesses shouldn’t have to rebuild their payments infrastructure for every network,” said Aishwary Gupta, global head of business at Polygon Labs.

Raees said, “Our focus is to make it easier for payment and stablecoin activity to continue to scale on the network.”

The two networks were previously considered rivals. Polygon recently added TRON support to Open Money Stack and acquired U.S. crypto payments company Coinme.
