Chainlink launched Chainlink 24/7 on October 29, 2026, a service that provides continuous pricing for stocks, commodities, and other traditional assets during weekends and market holidays. Aave is the launch partner, integrating the feeds into Horizon, its institutional lending platform, beginning with tokenized versions of heavily traded US stocks.
When traditional markets are open, Chainlink 24/7 sources prices from regular and extended trading sessions. When markets close, the service shifts to a reference rate derived from quotes on multiple perpetual futures venues. It filters stale inputs and limits the influence of outlier prices to maintain a single, continuous price series. The off-hours price reflects derivatives trading, not trades on closed exchanges.
Previously, onchain applications holding tokenized stocks either paused markets, relied on the last available price, or developed their own systems during off-hours. Lending protocols can access these prices through Chainlink’s onchain Data Feeds. Trading platforms and prediction markets can use Data Streams, which update more frequently and indicate the active market session.
In January 2026, Chainlink introduced 24/5 pricing for US stocks and ETFs, covering pre-market, regular, post-market, and overnight sessions. The company says its weekday pricing supports over $1.6 billion in tokenized stocks.
Aave Horizon, built on Aave Protocol version 3.3, allows qualified investors to borrow stablecoins against tokenized real-world assets, according to Aave Labs.
Protocols and agents trading or lending against tokenized stocks now have a weekend price reference.
