JQQQ is an issuer-sponsored onchain fund tracking the Nasdaq-100 Index, managed by Janus Henderson and built on Centrifuge’s infrastructure.
Janus Henderson and Centrifuge launched JQQQ on October 27, 2026, an issuer-sponsored onchain fund that tracks the Nasdaq-100 Index and runs on the Stellar network. Janus Henderson issues and manages the fund, Centrifuge provides the blockchain infrastructure, and Nasdaq licenses the index.
The fund is a segregated portfolio of Anemoy Capital SPC Limited, with Janus Henderson Investors as sub-investment manager. It is not open to US persons and is offered only to eligible investors in jurisdictions where it can lawfully be marketed.
The structure separates JQQQ from third-party stock tokens. An issuer-sponsored fund is issued and managed by the fund manager. Third-party tokens may be backed by shares held in custody or built as separate instruments tracking prices. According to CoinDesk, holders of such tokens do not necessarily own the shares or receive shareholder rights.
“Demand continues to grow for exposure to established, transparent benchmarks,” said Sean Wasserman, head of index product management at Nasdaq.
Anil Sood, chief strategy and growth officer at Centrifuge, said, “The assets investors want to own can also become building blocks for an onchain financial system.”
Janus Henderson’s onchain platform holds more than $1 billion across Treasuries, structured credit, and equities. In 2025, the firm launched SPXA, a tokenized S&P 500 fund.
